Blog 8: English Language Challenges

Hello!

The truth is that I'm pretty bad at English,

but I'm much more embarrassed about

the pronunciation, I think I can understand

something, but talking about it makes me

very difficult.

I really appreciate the course, because it

was fun and politically charged that other

English courses (at least my other 3

courses) didn't have. Things have to be

talked about, we are not little kids learning

the colors!

I'm very sorry that I had the course in this

online mode, because it would have been

all more fluent in person and we would not

only see black pictures. I would have liked

to have shared more with my classmates,

my friends and the teacher, but for the

distance classes, they were pretty good.

I like blogs because you can write about

what you really feel and you can be read

and commented on, I was very lazy about

this and I apologize a lot for it. But still,

I like the blog work, I liked the topics and

especially the ones chosen by us haha.

I think what I need to practice more is the

pronunciation, because I'm really bad at it.

Outside the course, I don't use this language

much, but I do use it in the series and movies,

it's a real pleasure to see them in the original

language XD, but always with subtitles.

I also use it to help my little brother with his school

work, however I don't use this language much,

but I think it's because I have refused to do so,

and I owe him an opportunity.

Blog 7: Music

Hello!
I don't have a favourite artist, as I often change this XD,
but there is one I've liked for quite some time and she
always makes my days more enjoyable. Her stage name
is La Otra and she is Spanish.
I like her songs a lot because they connect with what
many women live in everyday life. I also like her lyrics,
which are full of strength, politics and feminism.
My favorite song by this singer is called Contigo, it's about
a couple's relationship, but not in a romantic style, but rather
with partners.  It's like saying I love you very much, but if we're
not together nothing happens either, it's wishing the other
person happiness out of the chains that we often
impose on our partners.
I really like this style of music, as a ballad, but I like to hear
it when I'm alone because I pay attention to what it wants to
convey and it makes me think about many things.
However, I also like La Cumbia and other styles of partying,
because they motivate me, for example when I study,
when I am with friends, with my family, etc.
Music is good for many things and there is a style
of music for each of them. I also like to make music.
I like percussion, Latin rhythms and dances that are born
from feeling and letting the drums flow.

Blog 6: Postgraduate Studies

Hello!
My next goal is not to do a postgraduate degree,
but I would like to do it in the long term.
If I study, I would like to do a master's degree in
childhood and specialize in that subject. Children and
neighbourhood is my subject and it's something I
dedicate a lot of time to. I think that it would be a
good field to study in the psychology or social work
career, since many times the children of the neighborhood
are classified with Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity,
when we only need different stimuli to learn.
And children are not understood as part of the community,
only when they commit a crime. When there is no
longer a backward step, everyone points and judges.
I don't care if it's inside or outside Chile, but it must
be much better abroad. But I find it hard to imagine
leaving for so long just to study, I think it even scares
me a little. But if I'm well and stable I think I could do it.
I don't know how those who just leave do it, my dreams
are here I would like to study it in person because I find
distance and online education very difficult.
I still don't feel prepared for a master's or postgraduate degree.
When I have the means to pay for it or when I have
more confidence in my abilities (which will be seen
in practice or at work) I will take one without hesitation.

Blog 5: my future job

Hi, i study psicology, but i don't see me that a psicologist,
in a Box doing therapy. Mi dreams job is in the sreet,
in my street, my neighborhood. I like do craft workshop
for childs. Today i work in a comunitary program of my
commune and i love my job, because i work with kids
like me a few years ago. The program is called Tregua
(truce to violence).

I would like to travel, but no for my job, because my
job is in the street. I wouldn't like it either make lots
of money, because I want to continue living in my commune,
not with my parents obviously, but being a poor neighborhood,
it is cheap. I am from a simpler life.
I would like that too dedicate myself to crafts, i like knit,
embroider, sew (I have two machines). I like to create with wool,
threads and fabrics, to make clothes, ornaments …

I dream that my work will be community life, carrying out projects,
preventing children and young people from falling into drugs,
and guiding them to enhancetheir artistic and / or academic talents.
Sometimes I wonder why I am studying, if I really don't want to
exercise, but I realized that within community psychology
I can contribute something to my own community.

Blog 4: Pets

In my house live a lot animals. The oldest is called Canela and she has 14 years old. She is my eternally partner, she has the swetest eyes and  gentle. She ever hated the confinement and the chains and we respect that, but she got into problems when she was on the street.  She went through many accidents like poison, being run over, etc. Before, I was ride to bike and she accompanied me, always by my side. She never wore a leash, yet she never left my side. Now she walk slow, she lost part of her senses, but she is still my eternally partner.

The next is the Ayün. He came to my life 4 years ago. He was 3 weeks, he was so ugly and small that i couldn't leave him alone.  Now he is a king, unreachable and grumpy.

Gaspar has 2 years old, I found him in a park while working. He was so fat, but only from parasites. Now he is like a kid, he likes the squeaky toys and sleep in front of the stove.

Amaranta has a one year, she is the more small of the family. She likes to hunt, it's really disgusting, because She always brings us birds and mice dead. She likes to plays with anything that move. She has a strange relationship with Ayün, like love-hate together. We say the ugly, because she is disheveled.

The last no have name, because she don't live in this house, but she always comes to visit us. We already have plate and bed for her. We belive she has a two houses (or more haha).

"The get down" it's a technique they use the Dj's where repeat the best part of the song over and over for to motivate the Bboys and Bgirls to dance.

Ezequiel or Zeke is a young with talent for the poetry and the improvisation, zeke is in love too Mylene, daughter of religious fanatic. Zeke with his friends, Ra-Ra, Boo-Boo and Dezze the graffiti artist, they know to Shaolin Fantastic. Who plays in the 4 branches of the Hip Hop. They join for to form "The Get Down Brothers"

The story it's told by Zeke in the his concert in the 1996 year. His verses and poemes told the story of this group of friend, they faced the corruption, the violence, the drug traffiking and the political opportunism in the South Bronx

The serie has two season of five or six chapters. Each chapter lasts an one hour approx. I like too much that participation by Grandmaster Flash, Afrika Bambaataa and others in the production. They are part of the story of the beginnins of hip hop.

We stopped in a COPEC of Chillán to refuel oil, however the van stayed in panne, in our first day! because it was a old van. We camp in the COPEC and we share with de truckers. They helped us to find mechanic for the our van and they taught a lot things abaut camps and the south.

The rest of the travel was very nice. We toured forest, lakes, beaches, hills and fields. We camped where the night found us. We toured from the mountain range to the ocean, from de La Pintana to the Ranco Lake.
